NPTC Honors 35 Certified Transportation Professionals
Nashville, TN – Thirty-five transportation professionals achieved the prestigious designation of Certified Transportation Professional® (CTP) by the NPTC Institute, the educational and professional certification arm of the National Private Truck Council (NPTC). The graduates were honored during a ceremony at the NPTC Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition, May 3-5, 2009 in Nashville, TN.
Since the CTP designation was first introduced in 1993, more than 600 fleet and transportation professionals have earned the right to add CTP after their name. CTPs are raising industry standards, and in turn, increasing the respect and prestige of the fleet and transportation profession.
“These new Certified Transportation Professionals have demonstrated the knowledge and ability to understand complex operational and regulatory issues, identify and evaluate potential costs and savings, and develop systems and practices that best meet their company’s transportation needs and objectives,” said Gary Petty, NPTC President and CEO.
“The CTP designation is a benchmark of excellence earned by a special few, but available to any fleet or transportation specialist will to make the necessary commitment of dedicated effort.”
Each year, Fleet Owner magazine sponsors the CTP Top Graduate Award. This year’s Top Graduate was Amy M. Daley, CTP, Mobile Project Manager, J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc. Daley’s transportation career began at J.J. Keller in January 2005. Prior to coming to J.J. Keller, she taught business classes at both the high school and college levels, as well as worked in human resources for a period of time. At J.J. Keller, Daley began as a Software Business Systems Analyst working with customers to analyze their internal processes and determine how J.J. Keller’s system implementation would impact those processes and provide greater efficiencies. Two years later, she took on the role of Sales Trainer.
While training, she also became involved in the J. J. Keller Mobile project and led the pilot testing for that. When J. J. Keller Mobile was closer to being launched, Ms. Daley was asked to step into the Mobile Product Manager role. In that role, she works with development to define and evolve the company’s solution, with sales to cultivate opportunities, with implementation and support teams to ensure customers are trained and supported, and customers to get feedback necessary to grow the product offering.
