NPTC Annual Conference Set for April 29-May 1 in Indianapolis

Alexandria, VA – More than 1,000 people are expected to converge on Indianapolis April 29-May 1, 2007 for the National Private Truck Council’s (NPTC) Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition at the Indiana Convention Center and Westin Hotel.

“We are expecting Indianapolis to be the most well-attended meeting in nearly a decade,” said Gary Petty, president and CEO of NPTC. “We have assembled a power-packed agenda of dynamic speakers and an unparalleled lineup of hard-hitting educational workshops.”

Kicking off the conference this year will be Dan Jorndt the former president and CEO of Walgreen Company. In his 40 years with the company, Mr. Jorndt came to know first-hand the essential role of the private fleet in building Walgreen’s into a retail giant.

Other speakers addressing the NPTC conference include Ned Galbally, formerly the senior vice president of global operations of BOC, and Ken Schmidt, a former Harley-Davidson executive and now a communications expert.

The Annual Conference Planning Committee, chaired by Debra Stone of McKee Foods Corp. and which is comprised of fleet and allied members, has developed a slate of more than 20 educational workshops to be presented by the private fleet community’s most experienced and professional practitioners.

In addition, the NPTC 2007 Exhibition will feature an extensive showcase of fleet products and services from leading industry suppliers featuring the latest in product development and state-of-the-art technology for today's demanding fleet operations.
