NPTC Announces Fleet Graphics Awards
Nashville, TN – Associated Foods Stores, Inc. captured top honors in the Private Fleet Vehicle Graphics Awards for its patriotic portrayal of support for America’s Armed Forces. The awards, sponsored by the National Private Truck Council, were presented during a ceremony at the NPTC Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition, May 3-5, 2009, in Nashville, TN.
“This award recognizes fleets for their creative and conspicuous graphic design color schemes and general appearance which enhances the motor carrier industry’s public image and the image or products of the company operating the vehicles,” said Gary Petty, NPTC President and CEO. “This year, the judging was particularly challenging because the quality of design and graphics treatment continue to increase.”
Coming in second place overall was Barnes & Noble Booksellers; and in third place overall was Cooper Tire and Rubber Company.
The top five winners in the Combination Vehicle Category included:
• Dean Foods, Alta Dena
• Builders FirstSource
• Kraft Foods’ Oscar Mayer Franks
• Nissan
• Jack in the Box, Inc.
The top winner in the straight truck category was Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream.
