NPTC 2004: Program Update
Alexandria, VA – The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) will hold its Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition May 2-4 in Atlanta at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center and the Georgia World Congress Center.
This event is shaping up as one of “THE” outstanding industry trade meetings of the year–and one of the most important in terms of content. Private fleets are experiencing a renaissance in the corporate transportation marketplace. The Conference will show how private fleets are expected to grow in the years ahead… and how successful private fleets are proactive in continuously selling their value to those they serve.
New Hours-of-Service Regulations and their impact on private fleets is our lead topic. We have scheduled FIVE WORKSHOPS on HOS plus a general session with representatives from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Our “Bring Your Boss” program this year features an Executive Education Track to discuss key issues facing upper management. What a great opportunity for your boss to learn more about how increasingly important well-run private fleets are to corporate America–and to share in the information-sharing and networking experience uniquely available only through NPTC.
Learn first-hand about NPTC's new on-line BEST PRACTICES SAFETY GUIDE which allows you to learn how to develop an effective benchmarking posture while avoiding some of the most common pitfalls. You will get a live demonstration of how to conduct a self-audit of your company's fleet as compared with the scores of NPTC members. This is an NPTC-member only program and a great reason to join the Council if you are not already a member.
These are some of the highlights of the show. One of the great benefits of attending is the INFORMAL NETWORKING among private fleet management and supplier/vendor professionals. You just cannot beat the “after-market” value of participating in an NPTC Conference as measured by the resource contacts of people you meet who bring–at the show and throughout the year–new management information, ideas, services and products.
Our Exhibit Hall booth space is basically “SOLD OUT” as of this week and registrations continue to come in at a brisk pace. Check out the NPTC website at www.nptc.org and look at the exhibitors and registrations thus far–quite impressive!
The theme of NPTC 2004 is “DELIVERING THE FUTURE”. Attend the Conference and find out what's in store for you and your private fleet.
